for School Partnerships

Martin-Schongauer-Gymnasium has experience of participation in Comenius Partnership activities for more than a decade. Former school projects of the last years coordinated by MSG were "People and Bridges" , "SWEA (Sun-Water-Earth-Air)" 2002-2005 and "National highlights on the way to the 21st century´s Europe" (2006-2008). The current Comenius School Partnerships are a bilateral project "I will become a European" (2008-2010) and a multilateral project "European understanding for our identity" (2008-2010).

Associated partners (local or regional authorities, companies, universities, etc) can play an active role in the partnership and are involved in our activities.

What is a Comenius Project for schools?

  • Multilateral Partnerships: The partnership consists of institutions located in at least three of the countries participating in the Lifelong Learning Programme.

  • Bilateral Partnerships: The partnership consists of two institutions, each one located in one of the countries participating in the Lifelong Learning Programme.

  • The eligible countries are the 27 Member States of the European Union, Norway, Liechtenstein, Iceland and Turkey.

  • All Comenius School Partners work on a common theme. The work programme contains planned mobility activities of each institution in the Partnership (= student exchanges)

  • Comenius School Partnerships are subsidized by the European Commission

One of the participating institutions volunteers to take over the coordination of the partnerships and will be nominated international coordinator if not rejected in the selection procedure.
